Temi di ricerca
My academic background is in Political Science, International Relations, Comparative Politics and Law. At the Department of Law, I am working on the reconfiguration of Law and Politics in Eastern Europe compared to Western and non-Western systems. I am interested in the political and institutional developments of the post-soviet Russia and the implications of the vertical model of power on democratization, development strategy, market economy and the relations with the West. Going behind the transitional paradigm, my research focuses on the analysis and conceptualization of globally relevant institutional issues risen by post-Soviet Russia and post-socialist systems, i.e.: state-rebuilding; democratization; sovereign constitutionalism; legal pluralism; political inequality; multipolar international order; uneven and combined development. Along with Prof Cristina Poncibò, I am the coordinator of the Research Group on Law & Politics in Eastern Europe at the University of Turin. At the University of Turin, I also liaise with the Department of Culture, Politics and Society and the Institute of Studies on Asia. I am a visiting scholar at the School of Social and Political Studies of the University of Glasgow.
